What is the ISO 27001 standard?

ISO 27001 is an international standard for information security management. It establishes a set of best practices and standards for the implementation, operation, maintenance and improvement of an information security management system (ISMS).

Published by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), it provides a framework for information security risks, protection and confidentiality.

ISO 27001 is used by many organizations around the world, both public and private, of all sizes and in all sectors, to protect their sensitive and critical information.
